There is a reason for everything
One rainy Irish day in November 2016, I woke up in a mood as dark as the day outside my window. I was a single parent with 3 beautiful children, all under 9, including one wonderful autistic son. That morning, there was nothing fantastic or beautiful about my life. I was overwhelmed and exhausted.
It was the best day of my life because that was the day my life turned around and I began a journey that was to change me forever. There is no going back.
I am thankful for what happened inside me that November day, not just because I ended up finding, loving, and appreciating myself but also for my children. As I re-discovered myself, I came to the shocking realisation that even though all my children were under 9 years old, they were already going nowhere.
Now, I can honestly say, “I love being me.” I am teaching my children to love themselves, appreciate life, and, hopefully, grow up knowing that anything is possible and all they have to do is dare to dream and believe in themselves.
I hope you join us on our journey of discovery and recovery.
